Luciyah is a quiet, consent-first way to connect with people you already know. A pulse can be as simple as “you make me laugh”, “you’ve got a great smile”, or “thank you”. It can also be something harder to say, like “let’s reconnect”. They only find out it was you if they send you the same pulse back. That is a mutual, and it is the only moment either of you knows.
How a mutual works
Choose someone you know
Enter their name and phone number, or use the optional contact picker. Then pick what fits from a fixed list, from a quick compliment to something harder to say.
Send it quietly
It sits in your sent pulses. They are never told who it came from, and you can remove it at any time.
It takes both of you
If they send you the same pulse, you both find out. If they do not, nothing happens and nobody is told.

Common questions
Is Luciyah a dating app?
Not in the sense of meeting strangers. There is no browsing, no swiping, no feed, and no way to reach anyone whose number you do not already have. What you can say to people you know ranges widely: you make me laugh, you’ve got a great smile, thank you, I’m rooting for you, I’d like to work with you, let’s reconnect, I fancy you, and a few reserved for someone you are already close to. The point is to say something to someone already in your life, not to sift through a stream of strangers.
Why not just message someone directly?
Because a message names you before you know how it lands. Here it stays anonymous unless it goes both ways. Send a pulse, and if the same one comes back you both find out. If it does not, they never learn it was you. Once it is mutual, message them.
Someone sent me a pulse. How do I reply?
You do not reply, and there is no way to write back. If you can see what the pulse was, you can send that same one to whoever you think it came from. If they sent it, you both find out. If they did not, it is simply a pulse from you to them, and they never learn it was you.
Can someone tell that I sent them a pulse?
No. It arrives anonymously. Depending on the pulse they may see its type, but never who sent it. They only find out it was you if the same pulse comes back from them.
Can someone send me something unpleasant?
No. A pulse has no free text in it. Every one is picked from a fixed list we write, so nobody can send you words of their own.
Do I need their number saved in my contacts?
No. Typing in a name and a phone number is the normal way to send a pulse. The contact picker is an option inside that field if you want it, and you can ignore it. You do not need them saved, and you do not need to give Luciyah access to your contacts at all.
Does Luciyah upload my contacts?
No. Your contacts stay on your phone. To show which of them already use Luciyah, your phone turns each number into a one-way code and asks us whether any of those codes belong to someone who has already joined. Only those codes are sent for that check, never the names or numbers themselves, and we never store your contacts.
What happens if they never send one back?
Nothing. Your pulse stays private in your sent list and waits. There is no reminder, no nudge to them, and no expiry. You can remove it at any time, and nobody is told either way.
What if the person is not on Luciyah yet?
You can still send the pulse. It waits, and it reaches them when they join. Luciyah only works between two people who both have it, so it is worth inviting anyone you would want to hear from. Nothing in an invitation says a pulse exists, and if you send it to a few people at once there is nothing to point at any one of them. Plenty of what people send is just a compliment, so sharing it says nothing about you.
What does Luciyah cost?
The app is free. Luciyah+ is an optional monthly subscription that reveals the types behind locked pulses you have received. It never reveals who sent them, and relationship pulses stay completely private unless they become mutual. Your store shows the price where you are.
